Tie-Rod Cutting & Welding Machines

Two documented configurations: an integrated plasma cutting and welding line, or a shorter welding-only machine for prepared workpieces.

Application

Select the process boundary.

The integrated machine cuts and welds in one long cell. The welding-only version accepts pre-cut components and removes the plasma station.

  • Wecon PLC and servo control
  • Airtac / Xingchen pneumatic components
  • 380 V / 50 Hz power supply
  • Dedicated tie-rod support and positioning

Configuration decision

Start with what arrives at the machine.

Conceptual scope diagrams—not a physical station order, operating instruction, approved layout or component-readiness guarantee. Agree the actual cutting, preparation and handling functions for the project.

A · Cutting inside the requested scope

Define incoming stock and cutting functions requested in the integrated configuration. Do not assume all preparation, transfer or inspection tasks are included.

B · Prepared components for welding-only

Identify the upstream preparation provider and the actual incoming condition. The documented welding-only configuration excludes the plasma station; component suitability still requires review.

Use the same intended assembly and drawing revisions for both proposals, while recording their different incoming conditions and responsibilities. Neither route here establishes a faster cycle, lower cost or smaller installed footprint.

Use the detailed cutting-and-welding versus welding-only guide to prepare comparable scope and handover questions.

Welding project preparation guides

Prepare the actual workpiece information and clarify the process scope before requesting the final configuration.

These guides organise purchasing information; they do not specify welding settings or acceptance limits.

Blank preparation sheets

Workpiece and project inputs

Collect drawing revisions, material and weld references, incoming condition and requested configuration. Unknowns can remain TBD.

Before requesting a W02 configuration

What distinguishes integrated and welding-only equipment?

The documented integrated configuration includes a plasma cutting station. Welding-only receives prepared components from upstream and excludes that station. Identify the actual incoming condition and itemise included functions before selection.

Does welding-only always need less installation space?

A shorter machine outline is not an approved installation layout. Incoming stock, workpiece handling, service arrangements and downstream handover must also be considered in the supplier's project layout.

Which welding power-source package applies to welding-only?

The presentation slides disagree. The original disclosure in the configuration section is retained; this page does not choose between the ratings. The final quotation must identify the selected package.

Read the original package disclosure.

Can the preparation sheet approve the assembly or weld quality?

No. The blank sheets collect project and evidence references, not acceptance limits or sign-off. Use actual drawings, the agreed scope and separate project protocols and reports with the responsible reviewers.
