S01 Panel Stacking Guide

Choose the single-unit or synchronized long-panel route, then prepare the panel drawings, face orientation and finished-bundle requirements for your enquiry.

What does S01 help you prepare for?

The S01 Automatic Sandwich Panel Stacker has documented non-turnover and turnover configurations. The right enquiry starts with your actual panels and the arrangement you want at the line exit—not just a maximum panel length.

This guide helps you show those requirements. It is not an operating programme, installation plan or approval of a stacking pattern.

Choose the length and the required motion together

Start with the actual panel family, then mark whether the face must change before placement. These routes describe the current S01 selection basis, not approval of every size and mass combination.

  1. 2.5–12 m: single unitThe documented 20261007 single unit supports stacking only or turnover plus stacking. Its recorded stack-height range is 0–2,500 mm.
  2. Over 12 m: stacking onlyA single-unit stacking-only arrangement can be reviewed for the project. Its maximum panel length and permitted combinations remain to be confirmed.
  3. Over 12 m: turnover requiredDiscuss two synchronized units. Length, load, spacing, cycle rate and stack height require a separate project proposal.

Read the long-panel decision guide when a panel exceeds 12 m. Supply width, thickness, measured weight, core, profile and surface restrictions for each variant.

Turnover or non-turnover?

Show the incoming panel face and the required face after placement. That is the starting point for discussing the configuration.

Non-turnover configuration

The manufacturer presentation describes lift and translation, without a rotation axis. Discuss this configuration when your requested placement does not call for panel turnover.

Send an end-view sketch showing which face should remain uppermost. The actual profile and placement still need supplier review.

Turnover configuration

The presentation adds rotation to lift and translation. Discuss it when the required face orientation changes before placement.

Mark the requested sequence for successive panels, including any first- or last-panel requirements. A rotation axis does not approve every profile or bundle pattern.

Three things to show us

A drawing, a face-orientation sketch and a finished-bundle sketch make the conversation much clearer.

Your panel profile

Send the cross-section and actual length, width, thickness and weight combinations. Include both-face photographs, edge details, film and coating information.

Keep each variant tied to a drawing revision. Label measured values and estimates separately.

Which face goes where?

Label the face leaving the production line and the face you want after placement. Show rib direction and the requested sequence—not just “turnover required”.

If the arrangement is undecided, send the alternatives for discussion.

Your finished bundle

Sketch panel count, layer arrangement, alignment reference, separators and supports. Mark fixed requirements and items open for discussion.

These drawings explain the inputs to discuss. They are not approved stacking patterns or equipment drawings.

Where does stacking end?

Keep stacking separate from wrapping, strapping and finished-bundle removal. Identify who supplies each task and where equipment hands over.

  1. Incoming panelsFace, direction, receiving height and arrival timing
  2. S01 configuration reviewRequested turnover and finished-stack arrangement
  3. Downstream handoverBundle transfer, wrapping and removal scope

Scope illustration only—not an installed layout or control sequence.

Send the current line layout and an authorised process video. Ask how arriving panels are handled while a completed stack is removed; uninterrupted receiving is not assumed.

Carry the same supply responsibilities into the S01 cost and scope record. A request for wrapping does not establish that a wrapping machine is included.

Keep the detail in one input pack

Use the checklist below when you are ready to enquire. Leave unknown fields as TBD rather than guessing.

Panel drawing checklist
One input record per panel variant
InputWhat to provideQuestion for the supplier
Drawing identityProduct name, revision, units, cross-section, edges and joint features.Which drawing and sample define the proposed configuration?
Size and massLength, overall and effective width, thickness, rib height and individual weight for each variant.Which combinations are covered, and which need further review?
Faces and finishBoth-face photographs, coating, protective film and panel-maker handling restrictions. What contact method and contact areas are proposed?
Line-exit conditionUpper face, travel direction, leading end, receiving height and current-process video. What must be retained or changed at the receiving interface?

Label measured weights and estimates separately. A list containing only the largest length, width and weight does not show whether those values describe the same panel. Supply the real product combinations instead.

Line and product-change inputs

Attach the cut-off exit, receiving conveyor, stack location and downstream handover on the current layout revision. Record transfer heights, direction, obstructions and retained equipment. Machine outline and complete installed working area are different fields.

Describe observed panel arrival timing, requested targets and the product mix separately. Include stack removal and changes in profile, size, film and bundle arrangement. Ask which changes require recipes, mechanical adjustments or additional tooling.

Use the retrofit checklist for interface responsibilities. This page does not prescribe wiring, settings or access clearances.

Current S01 limits and older references

The current 20261007 single-unit reference gives a normal 2,500–12,000 mm range for stacking only or turnover plus stacking and a 0–2,500 mm stack height. Above 12 m, request a single-unit stacking-only project review, or discuss synchronized dual units if turnover is required.

The older 19 August presentation contains 12 m and 13 m length references. Those earlier figures do not establish the current model's turnover range or approve a 13 m single-unit turnover order. Identify the current model, motion and actual panel combinations in the proposal.

Ask for the permitted panel family, support arrangement and complete site layout. The single-unit stack height does not define a dual-unit height, payload, pickup width or panel-thickness rating. S04 vacuum-stack figures remain separate.

Before you send your enquiry

Does every roof panel need the same turnover sequence?

No universal sequence is approved here. Show the actual profile and desired stack arrangement for review.

Does stacking include wrapping and discharge?

Only when those tasks and equipment are explicitly included in the quotation. List them separately.

Can I use S04 specifications for S01?

No. The S04 gantry flipping and vacuum stacker is a different catalogue machine. Its load, panel-length and cycle figures must not be transferred to S01.

Does this input sheet approve my panel or production rate?

No. Configuration, material contact, performance and installation requirements need written supplier confirmation.
