Application

Automated handling for long, finished panels.

The machine receives panels from the production line, lifts them with a 24-cup vacuum frame, flips them when the stacking pattern requires it, and places them into a controlled stack.

  • Corrugated long-span building panels
  • Polyurethane (PU) and other metal-faced sandwich panels
  • Cleanroom panels
  • New lines or retrofits with a confirmed interface

Where it fits

This configuration is designed for long-panel production where manual flipping and stacking are slow, labour-intensive or difficult to repeat. The final layout is matched to the line discharge height, panel profile, stack pattern and bundle removal method.

Selection note: vacuum pickup must be validated using the actual panel surface, protective film, profile, weight and approved contact areas before tooling is released.

Working sequence

From line discharge to a completed stack.

  1. 01

    Receive

The conveyor presents the finished panel at the programmed pickup position.

  2. 02

    Pick

The gantry lowers the 24-cup vacuum frame and confirms a secure lift.

  3. 03

    Flip or transfer

The servo system turns the panel when required by the selected stacking recipe.

  4. 04

    Place and repeat

The panel is positioned on the stack and the sequence repeats until the target count is reached.

Watch the pickup, turnover and stacking sequence.

This actual-machine video shows how the overhead gantry, vacuum lifting frame, powered roller conveyors and turnover section work together. It complements the technical data by showing the equipment’s motion, scale and hand-off points.

Video by Color Steel Machine. The final motion timing, vacuum tooling and conveyor interface are configured for the selected panel and production line.

What to watch

  • Overhead gantry travel across the handling area
  • 24-cup lifting frame positioning above the panel
  • Powered roller conveyor and turnover section coordination
  • Clearance and interface space around the stacking cell

System advantages

Built around long-panel handling constraints.

Wide working range

The documented 4–15 m length range covers multiple long-panel formats within one project envelope.

Recipe-controlled motion

Four servo axes coordinate lifting, travel, flipping and placement for repeatable stack formation.

Distributed vacuum pickup

A 24-cup frame spreads contact across the panel; the final cup layout is confirmed against the real profile.

Line-end automation

Receiving, optional flipping and placement are combined into one sequenced handling system.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before configuration.

Which panels can the gantry flipping stacker handle?

The documented configuration is intended for corrugated long-span panels, polyurethane (PU) sandwich panels and cleanroom panels. Vacuum suitability and the final tooling arrangement must be confirmed against the actual profile, surface and weight.

What panel sizes are covered?

The source document lists panel lengths from 4,000 to 15,000 mm and pickup widths of 950, 960, 1,050 or 1,200 mm. The supported panel thickness is 50–200 mm (5–20 cm).

How fast is the stacking cycle?

The documented cycle time is 20–30 seconds per panel. Final output depends on panel characteristics, the flip sequence, line interface and required stack pattern.

What information is needed for a proposal?

Provide panel drawings, size and weight range, contact surface, line discharge height, stack pattern, available footprint, cycle target and site utilities.

Add full-stack PE wrapping to the line.

Choose the separate Full-Stack PE Wrapping Machine as a downstream packaging option. The outer stacking conveyor moves the completed bundle lengthwise into the wrapper, with both conveyors following the same direction.

Proposed gantry stacking and inline PE wrapping arrangement with external gantry columns, a central turnover waiting station and an outer bundle discharge conveyor
AI-generated explanatory concept, not an installation photograph or a dimensioned engineering layout. Final support, controls and machinery geometry require project review.

Option: full-stack PE wrapper

P01 wraps the completed bundle, not each individual panel. Its published configuration specifies a 3000 kg effective equipment load and a 1200 × 1200 mm package width × height. Check total bundle weight separately from the stacker's 450 kg individual-panel lifting configuration.

Coordinate the complete sequence

Infeed positioning → mechanical turnover forks and central waiting station → level gantry vacuum pickup → outer stacking bed → inline full-bundle PE wrapping. The vacuum lifting frame does not perform the flipping step.

Agree bundle dimensions, support spacing, transfer height, arrival timing, control interlocks and removal access. Packaging is optional and is not automatically included with the stacker.

Project-specific options, not standard-capacity changes. The linked-line example uses extended support for a 15.5 m requirement and a supplier-proposed 2.5 m stacking-height limit. The usable bundle height is constrained by the final wrapper aperture. The example's requested 1250 mm bundle height exceeds the published 1200 mm wrapper height by 50 mm; confirm the aperture or revise the bundle target before assuming compatibility. Original stacker specifications above remain unchanged.
