What should I send for a rock wool continuation enquiry?
Send a labelled drawing of the prepared rock wool strips, photographs of their delivered arrangement, the required placement pattern and a layout showing pickup and receiving positions. Add the intended product mix, receiving-line timing and material replenishment sequence. Use the same brief for the gantry and robotic alternatives.
This guide supports the gantry continuation machine and robotic arm continuation machine. It concerns transferring prepared material, not a complete slab-cutting and panel-production system. For stacked full boards, use the column feeder input guide.
All diagrams below are conceptual enquiry-input illustrations—not machine motion, programming instructions, an installation layout or approval evidence.
Link all three photographs to the same actual strip variant and drawing revision. These are document references, not a machine sequence or proof of material suitability.
How should I describe the prepared strips?
Supply actual units, dimensions and sample IDs. Record pickup and delivery faces separately; the shape is a concept, not a verified strip geometry, tooling design or approved orientation.
Identify the material supplier, grade and current product sheet. Give length, width and thickness with units and a dimensioned sketch showing which face is uppermost at pickup and at delivery. Record density and individual weight where known; distinguish measured values from estimates.
Attach three views: the delivered pack, a separated strip and the receiving position. Show wrapping, separators and any preparation performed before the feeder takes over. If several strip sizes are used, give each a sample ID rather than describing the whole range as “rock wool”.
ROCKWOOL’s Conrock description distinguishes supplied slabs and pre-cut lamellas. That distinction helps define the incoming format; it does not establish compatibility with our feeder. If you buy slabs, identify who cuts and arranges them before continuation.
What should the placement and refill sketch show?
Show full and near-replenishment views, replacement material location and the actual receiving pattern. This conceptual sketch gives no stack-height limit, machine movement path or cell clearance.
Provide a top view of the pickup and receiving positions, travel direction, transfer heights and the requested strip arrangement across the line. Label which face and end are the reference. Show the incoming arrangement both when full and near replenishment, along with where replacement material arrives.
List who supplies cutting, turning, arranging, loading and downstream conveying. Mark each task as existing, requested or outside the enquiry. Include a representative current-process video if available. These are supplier-review inputs, not instructions for entering a cell, programming motion or installing equipment.
Which inputs differ for gantry and robotic layouts?
| Arrangement | What to show | What to request |
|---|---|---|
| Gantry | Loading side, material-bin position, receiving direction and fixed obstructions around the proposed frame. | Review of the gripper tray, actual strip format and complete layout against the drawing revision. |
| Robotic arm | Every pickup and placement position, material variants and requested sequence. | A supplier load summary covering tooling and carried material, plus a configuration-specific layout and cycle review. |
Keep machine outline, movement range and installed working area separate. A catalogue outline alone is not a floor-space approval. The gantry-versus-robotic comparison owns the specification comparison; use this page to prepare its common input brief.
How should I record line timing and product changes?
Use actual records for measured output, identify the requested material and pattern, and ask what the quoted figure includes. The boxes are evidence categories—not a cycle, a speed comparison or a performance promise.
Separate present measured output, target output and a quoted machine figure. Record the material and placement pattern used, observation start/end points, refill interruptions and downstream stops. Ask the supplier which sequence is covered by the proposed output statement.
List changes in strip dimensions, orientation, incoming arrangement and receiving pattern. Request a response distinguishing recipe changes, mechanical adjustments and different tooling. Nominal feed speed does not establish sustainable production for an unreviewed material or layout.
Download the feeding project input sheet
Complete the common fields and the continuation section. Leave unknown items as TBD and keep sample IDs consistent with your drawings.
The web enquiry form does not accept attachments. Send only authorised drawings and videos by email, with their revision references in your enquiry.
Rock wool continuation questions
Does continuation include cutting slabs into lamellas?
Do not assume it does. Identify cutting and preparation as separate scope items and ask which equipment is included.
Can I submit the same sheet for both arrangements?
Yes. Use the same material and receiving requirements, then add the arrangement-specific layout inputs above. This supports a comparable proposal.
Does the feeder determine the finished panel’s strength or fire rating?
No. Feeder selection is not a panel-system assessment. Material selection, bonding and finished-panel requirements need their own responsible review.
Discuss your feeding configuration
Send the actual material records, placement requirements and completed inputs for a project-specific review.
